MIA + JOSHUA
ENGAGEMENT
|| Meet Mia and Joshua. Some of the cutest people I've ever photographed. ||
oUR STORY
“My favorite thing about him is his kind heart. He is the nicest guy to everyone he meets and cares so much for people. He would literally give someone the shirt of his back if they needed it.”
-Mia
Mia and Joshua met in high school during a yearbook club. Yep, high school sweethearts. cue Chandler Bing voice “Could they BE any cuter?”
They have known each other for 6 years and dated for the last 5 of those years — it’s been love ever since. Joshua asked Mia out on New years eve those 5 years ago. While he may have taken the first step in asking her out, she couldn’t help but say “I love you” first. And I love that—a woman not afraid to say it first. Sometimes being the first to say those 3 words can make it feel like you’re putting your entire heart on your sleeve and risking it all. When the feeling is mutual, the risk is well worth it. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.
you can feel the love between these two. So could I.
proposal
Joshua proposed on Christmas day in 2018 in Tulum, Mexico. They were surrounded by family and Mia said a resounding “YES”. Enough said.
When I said that I could feel the love during this shoot, I wasn’t kidding. Mia and Joshua are every photographer’s dream. They genuinely loved each other’s company. While I may have led the shoot and advised poses, their effortless harmony with one another was simply radiant. Hence the raw and sheer happiness within each photo. You can tell they both love each other so deeply. I had the hardest time picking my favorite photos. They are literally laughing in almost all of them, and IT IS BEAUTIFUL.
TYING THE KNOT
As if proposing in Mexico isn’t adventurous enough, these two love birds are getting married in Girdwood, Alaska. Wow. I just can’t wait to see their wedding photos. They had their wedding photographer booked before they booked their engagement session with me. Honestly, part of me wishes they didn’t so I could have a chance of being the lucky one to capture their Alaskan wedding day. I know it’s going to be beautiful.
THE END
THANK YOU FOR TAKING A GLIMPSE INTO THEIR LOVE STORY.
These two have such a beautiful future together. I may have only met them for about 30 mins. But sometimes you just know when someone has something special. Yes, we will be doing a double date too. Sometimes my customers become my friends. I LOVE MY JOB.
